The Burnside Symphony Orchestra Inc., established in 1956, celebrated its 60th Anniversary in 2016 with the 60th Anniversary Gala Concert held on Wednesday 29 June 2016 at the Burnside Ballroom.

Since its inception the orchestra has performed over 270 concerts. The proceeds of many concerts have supported local charities including Anglicare, Guide Dogs SA, Rotary Club of Burnside, Save the Children, The Smith Family and Sailability.
