The Burnside Symphony Orchestra Inc. was formed in 1956 with the aim of providing the opportunity for amateur musicians to play a range of orchestral works from the classical repertoire.  The orchestra also allows aspiring conductors and soloists to gain the experience of performing with a full symphony orchestra.
